Eating Out in Livigno

Eating out is part of the holiday experience in Livigno. With almost 100 restaurants, there's something to suit every budget and appetite from pizzas to Michelin starred restaurants. At lunchtime, there are plenty of mountain restaurants where you can buy anything from a quick burger or a fresh sandwich to homemade lasagne or the local speciality 'pizzoccheri', a type of flat ribbon pasta traditionally cooked with potatoes and greens. 

In the evenings Livigno comes into its own, and you'll be spoilt for choice.  Restaurant "La Rusticana" is one of our favourite place to eat offering a great menu, generous portions and very reasonable prices - it's always best to make a reservation in advance due to it's popularity.

Also worth a visit is the Hotel Galli’s at Lift 20 where we love their pizzas and also a popular choice if your hungry is the Tomahawk Steaks

Livigno's most popular eating venue is Bivio, which boasts three separate venues depending on your mood and requirements. There's a bar/restaurant, an a la carte restaurant on the ground floor and on the lower floor, a five starred restaurant for that special occasion.

These are typical prices in the village, mountain restaurants are usually slightly more expensive.

Mountain Restaurants

On the Mottolino mountain you have a few choices from kosmo restaurant which is at the bottom of the slopes, also a large restaurant at the top of the Gondola called "Meeting" and for something a little bit different we would highly recommend "Camanel". This has a pasta house on the first floor although it's best to reserve a table in advance here, but then on the ground floor you have all the typical choices you would expect, outside a large terrace with a dj, deckchairs, log fires and some of the best views of Livigno from here.
